An Update on FBCG Response to the COVID Delta Variant

Dear FBCG Church Family,

As you know, Governor Edwards has reinstated his statewide indoor mask policy, in response to the surge of COVID-delta infections in Louisiana. The order requires that anyone age 5 & up wear a mask while indoors. Thus far, there are no further restrictions on our meetings or attendence.

The Elders believe that the best path forward is to maintain our previous policy. In compliance with the order, we request that everyone wear a mask while indoors. Signs will also be posted on the entrances to the building. As before, we will not be actively "policing" this policy. Individuals who are uncomfortable attending worship while some participants are unmasked should use the livestream or our off-site viewing areas in the Chapel or Fellowship Hall.

Everyone has an opinion about the masks, vaccines, and social distancing. Furthermore, everyone is fatigued when it comes to the Coronavirus pandemic. We want to remind the church family to take the illness seriously, and to defer to one another whenever possible. May longsuffering and patience be the mark of Christ-likeness among us during this time.

If you have any symptoms that indicate you may have contracted coronavirus, or if you have knowledge of being exposed, we would ask you to wait the appropriate amount of time before rejoining us in-person. If you are in a high-risk category, we would strongly urge you to consider using the livestream for the time being.

Please don't hesitate to contact the Elders or Pastoral Staff if we can serve you in any way, or answer any questions you may have. We remain hopeful and are praying that God will protect and use FBCG for His glory in these days.

Prayerfully,

Pastor Jarrod
