First Baptist Church of Gonzales is excited to host the South Louisiana Pastors’ Conference, January 19-20 2024. Our theme is "Contend Earnestly," from the book of Jude. Our special guest is Dr. Phil Newton, who planted South Woods Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, and concluded his 35 years of pastoral leadership in May of 2022. Phil now serves as director of pastoral care and mentoring for the Pillar Network.

The schedule for the weekend aims to facilitate the schedule of busy pastors. We begin Friday, January 19th, at about 3:00pm, and conclude on Saturday, January 20th, by 12:00 noon. There is an optional fellowship activity (Top Golf or similar) on Friday morning, for those who choose to participate.

The cost of the conference is $50 ($35 for early registration or currently-enrolled seminary students). This includes dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday, as well as a gift bag. A small book store will be available, featuring a selection of helpful resources. Some books will also be offered as door prizes.
