What is Offered, When?

Sundays are the primary gathering the church family. Connect Groups for all ages meet at 9:00am (check our calendar for rare exceptions). There is a break from 10:00 to 10:30am, allowing time for conversation, a cup of coffee, and making final preparations for the service. Our one corporate worship service begins promptly at 10:30am.  Once per month (usually the 2nd Sunday), we meet for a casual evening service and bi-monthly Members' Meeting.

On Wednesdays, we offer a 10:00am Prayer Meeting & Bible Study, largely attended by retirees and seniors. In the evening, we serve a weekly meal at 4:45pm, followed by children and youth choirs at 5:30pm. Our children's program, AWANA, and Youth Worship & Bible Study begin at 6:15pm. Adult Prayer Meeting and Bible Study begins at 6:30pm. All ministries are finished by 7:30pm.

Our Summer schedule on Wednesdays is slightly different. The 10:00am Prayer Meeting & Bible Study remains the same. Our evening ministries consists of Vacation Bible School and Youth Bible Study, each beginning at 6:00pm, and Adult Prayer Meeting and Bible Study beginning at 6:15pm.

What is Worship at FBCG Like?

Corporate Worship at FBCG is marked by several distinctions. We are a multigenerational body: Five generations are often represented in a Sunday gathering. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Some come dressed in "Sunday best," while others prefer blue jeans. Our preaching consists of book-by-book, expository sermons, with periodic breaks for topical studies. Our music selection is widely varied, including traditional hymns, contemporary pieces, and everything in between. Instrumentation changes week-to-week, but can include the choir, piano and organ, contemporary praise band elements, even horns and woodwinds. The primary instrument each week, however, is the voice of the congregation. We believe that our children learn by worshipping with their families, so there is no separate "children's church" program. Childcare is available for infants and toddlers, and there is a soundproof room for parents who are still training children for participation in worship.

Where Should I Go?

Our main building sits between two parking lots. Visitors can park on either side of the building. If you visit on a Sunday, make your way to the sanctuary. Double glass doors are the entrance to our foyer, where someone will greet you and help you find your way. On Wednesday mornings, our prayer meeting is held in a large classroom called "the chapel" - you'll find it on the South side of the building all the way toward the back of the facility. For Wednesday evenings, if you join us around dinner at 4:45pm, double glass doors are open in the breezeway between the main facility and the office building. For the evening adult prayer meeting at 6:30pm, enter the double doors at the rear of the sanctuary.
